Mayo Cat Rescue will at times try to help people seeking to place a cat/kittens for adoption.
If we have the cage space or a place in a foster home, we will
assist. (There is a Surrender Agreement which must be completed and
signed as well as a surrender fee.) Again, since we try to rescue our
cats from the street before they even get to a kill shelter and since
we rely on foster homes space is always at a premium. If we cannot help, we will try to refer you to other groups for help.
If it is help with trapping to spay or neuter, we will also try
to assist with the trapping or at least arranging for the loan of
traps. Keep in mind, this is a very stressful job for us; we don't
like to hear horror stories especially when our hands are tied due to
finances or space. Patience and understanding gets you further than
rudeness and demands!
